A long time favorite hearty starter. Allie received this recipe from an roommate she had while living in an officers home in Fort Mason, San Francisco in the early 2000's. Neha made these for her lovely dinner parties and it has long since been a favorite starter for Allie and her friends. It works great as both a side dish (ala Turkey at Thanksgiving), or a great appetizer. But, as either, it's a fabulous pairing with Ketcham Estate Pinot Noir!!
